Dr. J. Gary Dolinsky, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who specializes in active, short-term psychotherapy for adults, adolescents, couples and families. He has been incorporating Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in his practice since the early 1980’s and has completed advanced training in CBT at the Boston Institute for Cognitive-Behavior Therapies in 1990 and in a 2 year Fellowship at Cambridge Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Behavioral Medicine in 1997. Dr. Dolinsky also integrates hypnosis, EMDR, and self-regulation/relaxation techniques into his practice. He has over 33 years of experience as a therapist working with a variety of presenting problems, including anxiety (including panic, phobias and OCD), coping with chronic pain and medical conditions, stress-related disorders and depression. Dr. Dolinsky also maintained a Harvard Medical School appointment as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry/Behavioral Medicine at the Cambridge Health Alliance from 2001 – 2007.
